Tattooing Minors
We evaluate each potential minor client on a case by case basis, but at a bare minimum the client and their parent must abide by the following rules:
The minor must have their parent present with them for the entire tattoo duration.
The minor must be at least 16 years of age at the time of the tattoo.
We do not tattoo minors on heads, hands, nor do we tattoo large designs below the elbow.
While we understand the paperwork needed to do the tattoo seems extensive, it is our responsibility to ensure the minor is actually the child of the adult accompanying them. If you are unable to provide the following, we will be unable to do your tattoo. Should you schedule an appointment and show up without the proper documentation, your appointment will be canceled and your deposit is forfeit. The documents must include:
Birth certificate for minor. This must include the parent’s name who is accompanying the child. High quality copies are acceptable.
Photo ID for the minor. We prefer government issued ID such as a driver’s license, state issued photo ID, or passport. School IDs are also acceptable if none of the above are available. The name must be the same as on the birth certificate.
Photo ID for the parent. This must be a state issued ID. The ID must also have:
Matching addresses on the minor’s and parent’s ID - this
Matching last name to birth certificate and/or minor’s ID. If the last name has been changed due to marriage or divorce, a copy of marriage certificate or divorce decree is also required.
